IMG_7730.jpg

Easter is on the way and we’ve got your preparations covered! We are taking the guesswork out of creating a beautiful, memorable celebration with a full guide for you on setting the table, creating centerpieces and building your menu. I’m delighted to share Part One - Setting the Table, with you today! Stay tuned for Part Two - Easy DIY centerpieces and Part Three - The Menu, over the next week!

If you know me, not much makes me happier than being with loved ones, cooking and pretty design - so this blog post was one I was definitely excited about! Having spent the past decade designing celebrations, tablescapes and events professionally, creating just for fun fills my soul! I’m getting knee deep in design to help you create an Easter table that leaves your guests impressed and creates the perfect hub for gathering. A pretty table can set the tone for the day and is often the center point of the celebration. When it comes to tablescapes, I believe in the less-is-more concept. I think that making intentional choices and selecting items that are beautiful on their own and even more impactful in a full story together, is the way to create something unique, elevated and special.

I’m sharing a guide to five different table tops below. The first three are looks you can buy, through Amazon, and have delivered right to your door! No leaving the house necessary! (I do have an affiliate account with Amazon, so if you shop through the blog post, I will receive a small commission.) The last two are looks you can rent through Cort Party Rental. My friends at Cort have been invaluable partners in creating exquisite celebrations for many years and it is fun to get to highlight some of their gorgeous new inventory here!

Whether you just need a little inspiration and want to use what you have at home to set the table, want to purchase some new pieces to add to your permanent collection or want to rent something for a fresh vibe without having to store it afterward, read on….

FIRST THINGS FIRST

First and foremost, let’s tap into the basics. Before we talk pretty items, let’s make sure we are all on the page about how to properly set a table. If you need a quick guide to reference, I love this illustration from Seven Smith. Keep it handy as you set your table for Easter.
