A Love Letter To My Readers
Hello friends!
I am so glad you are here. My name is Alissa and nothing makes me happier than welcoming you to my little corner. I began Haven Illume as a place to share inspiration that fuels my soul in hopes that you too, may find your own inspiration in it. I spent weeks trying to think of a name for what I hope this space to be and decided that Haven Illume summed it up pretty perfectly. I truly hope this is a place for you to come and dwell [Haven] that you find to be full of inspiration, joy and light [Illume].
This blog is the manifestation of three of the things that fuel my soul - Personal Wellness (ways to take care of ourselves physically, mentally and emotionally), Simple Living (ways to make life easier from life hacks to helpful routines) and Creative Inspiration (recipes, DIY projects, home design and more.) I am on a personal quest to intentionally fill my own life with these things daily and know that they add a richness and depth that I would not know without them. As I create my own practices and come across people, tips, tricks and resources that leave me inspired, I felt a tug on my heart to share them. I hope that this is a space you can comb through for tools that add joy, fulfillment and nourishment to your life as well.
A quick snippet about me… I am a wife to my college sweetheart, mama to our three girls, designer, and lover of all things creative. My heart is filled when I am in the kitchen cooking for loved ones and enjoying conversation over a packed dinner table. I love my morning routine, mac n cheese, yoga, a good massage and a home filled with candles and hygge. My faith roots me and I believe that everything happens as it is supposed to, life is lived best with a deep sense of gratitude and that we each have a beautiful purpose to fulfill in this lifetime.
